The work of Stephanie Kane is a mix of the language of colour, using the freeness of the simple crayon which runs over the meditated placement of oil paint. With an autobiographical element to her work, she often holds a deep contextual meaning which is experimented with and expanded upon.
She recently joined the Push Crayons collective as a visionary artist which all made sense with her love for the medium and collaboration. ‘Push Crayons’ comes from the idea that the moments we remember drawing with crayons are often our purest. In a child’s mind anything is possible.
Stephanie is soon to take her art to Shanghai, China later this year.
